Icing Fan Error — BLDC icing/ice compartment fan feedback signal not received for over 65 seconds during icemaking
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: IF E
How to Fix
- 1
Reset the unit and enter Test Mode 1 (press test button 1 time).
- 2
Open the freezer door and check for airflow. If airflow is present (windy), go to step 4.
- 3
Rotate the icing fan blade by hand. If it feels sticky or stiff, replace the fan motor.
- 4
Check icing fan motor supply voltage at CON7 pin 3 to pin 5: should be 12V. If absent, replace Main PCB.
- 5
Check fan control signal voltage at CON7 pin 7 to pin 5: should be 0V to 5V. If absent, replace Main PCB.
- 6
Check fan feedback voltage at CON7 pin 15 to pin 5: should be 0V to 5V. If absent or constant, replace the icing fan motor.
- 7
If all voltages are correct and fan still fails, explain to customer.
